Electronics Design Engineer

Description

Delta Plus is seeking a highly skilled Electronics Design Engineer with 4 years of experience to lead hardware development projects from concept through production. This role requires a hands-on professional with expertise in schematic capture, multi-layer PCB design, and embedded systems integration. The candidate will manage a team of 6 engineers and technicians, guiding them through detailed circuit design, component selection, prototyping, and laboratory testing. A strong background in analog and digital circuit design using Altium Designer, along with robust knowledge of microcontrollers and hardware communication protocols, is essential for success in this role.

The Electronics Design Engineer will also ensure compliance with EMC/EMI standards and prepare manufacturing outputs such as Gerbers, BOMs, and pick-and-place files. This role values candidates who bring experience in power supply design, sensor interfacing, and signal integrity analysis. Exposure to FPGA programming, RF design, and IoT system architecture is highly advantageous. The position demands a proactive approach to developing innovative and reliable electronic hardware while effectively managing project timelines and team deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire hardware design cycle including schematic capture, PCB layout, and component selection ensuring compliance with technical and regulatory standards.
• Design and develop analog and digital circuits for embedded systems, incorporating microcontroller firmware and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN.
• Manage and mentor a team of 6 engineers and technicians, coordinating tasks to meet project milestones and quality standards.
• Perform rapid prototyping and hands-on debugging in the laboratory to validate design functionality and performance.
• Conduct signal integrity analysis and power supply design to optimize system reliability and efficiency.
• Prepare manufacturing documentation and outputs including Gerber files, bill of materials (BOM), pick-and-place files, and electrical rule checking reports.
• Ensure EMC/EMI design and compliance through testing and iterative design modifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensors and embedded systems into robust product architecture.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and technologies including FPGA programming, RF design, and IoT system integration for continuous improvement.
• Drive innovation and process improvements by applying SPICE-based analog circuit simulation and embedded systems expertise to hardware development challenges.
