Civil Engineer

Description

Dot Print is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer with a minimum of eight years in the field to lead and manage a dedicated team of five professionals. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering and demonstrates proficiency in essential software such as AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM). This position requires a comprehensive understanding of construction project management, quantity estimation, cost control, and compliance with international standards such as the International Building Code (IBC) and ICC digital codes. The Civil Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the production and detailing of civil engineering plans, ensuring adherence to building codes and design standards, and managing site supervision with a keen focus on coordination and problem resolution. In this role, you will work closely with multiple stakeholders to develop and review grading and drainage plans, stormwater management systems, and drainage design to support sustainable infrastructure development. Your expertise will drive the successful delivery of projects from planning and design to execution, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements and client expectations. Effective team management and the ability to coordinate multidisciplinary activities are critical for maintaining production schedules and quality standards, reinforcing Dot Print’s commitment to engineering excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, planning, and development of civil engineering projects including grading, stormwater management, and drainage systems.
• Manage and supervise a team of five civil engineering professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
• Prepare and review technical drawings and detailed plans using AutoCAD, Autodesk Civil 3D, and Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools to ensure accuracy and code compliance.
• Oversee construction project management activities including quantity estimation, cost control, budgeting, and scheduling to meet project objectives and deadlines.
• Ensure all designs comply with International Building Code (IBC), ICC digital codes, and other applicable building codes and standards.
• Coordinate site supervision to monitor project progress, resolve issues, and enforce specifications and safety regulations.
• Conduct detailed quantity estimation and cost analysis to support project budgeting and forecasting.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to integrate civil engineering solutions within broader project frameworks.
• Review and approve grading and drainage plans to ensure site stability and effective stormwater management.
• Prepare and submit building permit plans and documentation in accordance with local and international regulatory requirements.
• Implement quality control procedures to ensure all engineering deliverables meet the highest standards of accuracy and functionality.
• Provide technical guidance and problem-solving support on-site and during design phases to overcome engineering challenges.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of advances in civil engineering technologies, materials, and methods to continually improve project outcomes.
• Utilize MS Office and other software tools to document progress, prepare reports, and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
