IT Specialist

Description

EagleStar Communication is seeking an experienced and motivated IT Specialist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will oversee the day-to-day IT operations across the organization, ensuring efficient and secure management of IT infrastructure. This role requires a strong technical background in network administration, cybersecurity, system troubleshooting, and virtualization technologies. The IT Specialist will also be responsible for providing technical support and managing IT assets to maintain optimal performance of all computer systems and devices. As a key member of our IT department, you will manage a team of 10 IT professionals, guiding and coordinating their activities to meet organizational goals. You will handle the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software, monitor system security and data integrity, and collaborate with external vendors when necessary. To thrive in this role, you must possess excellent problem-solving skills, effective communication abilities, and capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computers, software, and IT equipment to support daily operations.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, and system-related issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Provide expert technical support and assistance to employees, ensuring reliable IT service management.
• Manage network connectivity including Wi-Fi, printers, and other IT devices to maintain seamless communication.
• Maintain system security by applying updates, managing backups, and implementing data protection protocols.
• Monitor and oversee IT infrastructure performance, proactively identifying potential issues for timely resolution.
• Install and update software applications and operating systems to maintain compatibility and security.
• Maintain detailed IT records, equipment inventories, and documentation to ensure regulatory compliance and operational transparency.
• Coordinate effectively with external IT vendors for hardware, software, or service escalations and procurement.
• Ensure all IT systems operate efficiently and securely by implementing best practices and industry standards.
• Lead and manage a team of 10 IT professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to enhance team productivity and skills.
• Implement and manage Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, LDAP directory services, and Azure Active Directory environments.
• Utilize virtualization technologies such as KVM to optimize resource allocation and system performance.
• Apply cybersecurity measures to protect organizational assets against threats and vulnerabilities.
