DESCRIPTION
A well-known C-A Category Construction Firm requires a Senior Quantity Surveyor for its building construction projects in Faisalabad.
Experience in dealing and working with government departments in Pakistan, particularly in Punjab, is essential.
The candidate must have at least 10 years of relevant experience, preferably 12 years or more, in building works, project billing, estimation and quantity surveying. The candidate must be capable of independently preparing, submitting and following up all project bills.
The candidate must have strong practical knowledge of Punjab MRS, government billing procedures, price variation/escalation, Measurement Books, BOQs, rate analysis, variation orders and extra/non-scheduled items.
Responsibilities
- Prepare all running bills, interim payment certificates and final bills.
- Prepare bills according to approved drawings, BOQs, specifications and applicable Punjab MRS rates.
- Submit and follow up project bills until verification, approval and payment.
- Prepare quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates and detailed rate analyses.
- Calculate price variation/escalation according to contract conditions and applicable rules.
- Prepare and process variation orders, extra items and non-scheduled items.
- Prepare and check subcontractor and supplier bills.
- Coordinate with site staff, consultants, clients and concerned government departments.
- Maintain complete records of executed quantities and completed works.
- Monitor project quantities, costs and material consumption.
- Check tender and contract documents and identify missing, additional or changed items.
