Description
Elif Business Link seeks an experienced Export Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the export process. The ideal candidate has at least four years of experience and specializes in ensuring compliance with international trade regulations, coordinating logistics, and managing export documentation. This role is crucial in supporting the efficient flow of goods from origin to destination while maintaining adherence to customs laws and company policies. The Export Manager will work closely with various departments and external partners to streamline export operations and enhance customer satisfaction. Despite not managing a team, the Export Manager acts as a pivotal contributor to the company’s supply chain and international trade efforts. The position demands strong organizational skills and expertise in freight forwarding, bill of lading processing, and customs regulations. The candidate should effectively communicate with customs authorities, suppliers, freight forwarders, and customers to guarantee timely delivery and proper documentation of exported products.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage the entire export process to ensure compliance with international trade and customs regulations.
- Prepare and review export documentation, including bills of lading and import-export paperwork, to guarantee accuracy and completeness.
- Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping companies, and customs agents to arrange and monitor shipments.
- Monitor international shipping schedules and resolve any delays or issues affecting timely deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with local and international trade laws, customs regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain detailed records of shipments, documentation, and related export activities for auditing and reporting purposes.
- Collaborate with suppliers, customers, and internal departments to resolve issues related to shipping, documentation, and compliance.
- Analyze and optimize supply chain logistics to improve export efficiency and reduce costs.
- Stay updated on changes in international trade regulations and adapt processes accordingly.
- Support customer relationship management by addressing inquiries about shipment status, export requirements, and delivery times.
- Assist with the processing and management of bills of lading and related freight forwarding documentation.
- Identify risks and develop solutions to prevent delays or compliance breaches in the export process.
