Assistant Manager MIS

Description

Exadata Solutions is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager MIS to lead and manage the Management Information Systems (MIS) function within the organization. This role requires overseeing data management and reporting activities, especially in relation to ERP system implementations. The Assistant Manager will lead a team of five professionals, ensuring the smooth extraction, validation, and migration of data while maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance. The position involves close collaboration with various functional departments such as Finance, Supply Chain, Human Resources, and Sales to capture and translate business requirements into effective system configurations and reports. The ideal candidate has at least three years of relevant experience, with strong expertise in ERP systems, SQL, Power BI, and Management Information Systems Reporting. The role demands active participation in User Acceptance Testing, comprehensive report design and development, as well as end-user training and support following ERP deployment. The Assistant Manager MIS acts as a critical link between stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the successful implementation and sustainability of data reporting solutions that drive informed business decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the extraction, cleaning, and validation of legacy data prior to migration into the new ERP system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Map legacy data fields to the new ERP data structures for seamless data migration and operational continuity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Finance, Supply Chain, HR, and Sales to gather and document reporting and workflow requirements.
• Work closely with ERP consultants to translate business needs into precise technical system configurations and settings.
• Design, build, and test standardized MIS reports, dashboards, and key performance indicators using ERP tools and connected business intelligence platforms such as Power BI.
• Participate actively in User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to verify system workflows, data flows, security profiles, and report accuracy before system go-live.
• Develop comprehensive user manuals, documentation, and standard operating procedures to guide end-users in ERP reporting processes.
• Conduct training sessions for end-users across the organization to enable independent report generation and data extraction post-implementation.
• Provide prompt post-go-live functional support to troubleshoot and resolve data discrepancies, query errors, and missing reporting parameters.
• Manage, mentor, and supervise a team of five MIS professionals, promoting continuous learning and efficient task execution.
• Monitor and improve existing report generation processes to enhance operational efficiency and data quality.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and data governance standards in all MIS activities.
