Description
Faaz Consulting LLC is seeking a dedicated Intercompany and Accounts Payable Accountant to support its U.S.-based client with comprehensive accounting tasks. This remote, full-time role based in Pakistan focuses on managing intercompany transactions, accounts payable processes, and reconciliations to ensure accurate financial reporting and timely month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closings. The ideal candidate will have at least three years of relevant experience, a strong grasp of accounting principles, and the ability to work independently in a multi-entity, multinational environment without team management responsibilities. This role demands precision in processing supplier invoices, reconciling accounts, and maintaining audit-ready documentation. The successful applicant must coordinate effectively with finance teams across different countries and time zones. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, experience with ERP systems, and professional accounting qualifications are highly valued. Responsibilities
- Record and reconcile intercompany transactions monthly, preparing journal entries and validating balances between group entities.
- Collaborate with finance teams across multiple countries to verify intercompany charges, resolve discrepancies, and manage aged balances.
- Process supplier invoices with attention to account coding, approval workflows, and required supporting documents.
- Reconcile supplier statements regularly, investigating and resolving any invoice discrepancies and vendor payment queries.
- Monitor accounts payable aging reports and support working capital management by tracking outstanding balances.
- Prepare balance sheet reconciliations, account analyses, accruals, and prepayments to support accurate financial statements.
- Assist and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close activities ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Generate and maintain comprehensive schedules and audit documentation to comply with internal and statutory audit requirements.
- Perform ad hoc financial reporting and detailed accounting analyses as requested by management or regulatory bodies.
- Identify, develop, and implement improvements in accounts payable processes, intercompany reconciliations, and financial controls to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and audit-ready accounting records in accordance with company policies and financial regulations.
- Work independently to meet deadlines, manage confidential financial information securely, and communicate effectively with cross-regional finance teams.
