The Male Nurse plays a crucial part in maintaining accurate medical records and providing basic first aid and emergency response when required. This position requires close collaboration with management to report any health concerns and refer drivers to qualified medical professionals as necessary. The ideal candidate holds a nursing diploma or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution and demonstrates practical experience in vital signs monitoring, blood sample collection, and laboratory report management. Strong communication, coordination, and record-keeping skills are essential to succeed in this role. Previous experience in clinical, hospital, occupational health, or transportation sectors is considered advantageous. This position does not involve team management responsibilities but demands high attention to detail and a compassionate approach toward driver health and safety.
Responsibilities
- Conduct daily health checkups of drivers before departure to ensure fitness for duty.
- Perform basic health screenings including measuring blood pressure, temperature, and other vital signs accurately.
- Collect blood samples safely and coordinate with laboratories to ensure timely and accurate testing.
- Review laboratory reports thoroughly and maintain confidential, up-to-date medical records for all drivers.
- Provide immediate first aid and medical assistance in cases of minor injuries or medical emergencies.
- Identify potential health concerns promptly and refer drivers to appropriate medical professionals or specialists.
- Maintain detailed and accurate daily medical screening records and communicate any health concerns to the management team.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures related to occupational health and safety.
- Promote infection prevention and control practices within the work environment to safeguard driver health.
- Update knowledge of current nursing practices, emergency response techniques, and health monitoring procedures to maintain high standards of care.
