Description
Falcon Airlift is seeking a detail-oriented Customs Goods Declaration Typist / Specialist with proven experience in the preparation and filing of customs documentation for courier imports. This role focuses on managing and filing Goods Declarations efficiently through WeBOC and Pakistan Single Window (PSW) portals while ensuring strict adherence to Pakistan Customs regulations. The ideal candidate demonstrates solid knowledge of customs rules, tariffs, and HS code classification to ensure accurate customs clearance processes. This position requires working on-site or in a hybrid capacity at our West Wharf, Karachi location. The role demands accuracy and strong organizational skills but does not require managing a team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and file Goods Declarations through WeBOC and Pakistan Single Window (PSW) portals accurately and efficiently.
- Manage and process customs clearance documentation for courier imports, ensuring completeness and compliance.
- Apply correct Harmonized System (HS) tariff classifications and coordinate HS code classification and tariff schedule lookup.
- Calculate customs valuation and applicable duties with precision according to customs regulations.
- Maintain strict compliance with Pakistan Customs rules, regulations, and tariff guidelines.
- Operate customs clearance software tools efficiently to support documentation processing and submission.
- Perform accurate and timely data entry to ensure error-free customs documentation.
- Work closely with clearing agencies, freight forwarders, and internal teams to facilitate smooth customs clearance.
- Verify all customs paperwork for correctness and completeness before submission to minimize clearance delays.
- Monitor import shipments and provide regular status updates on clearance progress.
- Stay current with changes in customs regulations, HS code updates, and tariff schedules relevant to courier imports.
- Support continuous process improvements by identifying issues and proposing documentation and procedural enhancements.
