Faras Chemical Manufacturing Company is seeking a skilled and experienced Welder to contribute to our manufacturing and maintenance operations. The Welder will perform welding, metal fabrication, repair, and maintenance tasks with a strong focus on safety and quality standards. This role requires a professional who is proficient in various welding techniques and is committed to delivering precise and durable welds while supporting the operational objectives of our company. The ideal candidate will have at least eight years of hands-on welding experience and a deep understanding of welding equipment and inspection procedures.

Responsibilities

The Welder plays a vital role in the construction, maintenance, and repair of metal structures and equipment within the company’s operations. Responsibilities include performing Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), TIG welding, and other welding methods to join metal components accurately and efficiently. The individual will interpret welding blueprints, drawings, and specifications to prepare welding plans and fabricate parts to exact dimensions. Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring daily inspections to prevent equipment failure and uphold safety are key duties. The Welder must also conduct quality control checks by inspecting welds using visual and non-destructive testing techniques to guarantee compliance with established standards and eliminate defects that could compromise structural integrity.

This role demands collaboration with maintenance, production, and quality teams to support various projects including structural repairs and new installations. The Welder will troubleshoot and repair defective welds and damaged metal parts promptly to minimize downtime. Additionally, leading initiatives on maintaining a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols, wearing appropriate protective gear, and reporting any hazards or incidents is essential. Understanding and complying with industry regulations and company policies to ensure safety and environmental standards are continuously met is mandatory. The Welder does not manage a team but contributes as a skilled tradesperson within the manufacturing environment.
