Faysal Bank Ltd is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Officer for Trade Operations specializing in Import and Export. This role requires a proficient understanding of international trade compliance, customs documentation, and import/export regulations to ensure smooth and compliant trade finance operations. The candidate will be responsible for managing trade finance documentation, including letters of credit and documentary credits, in accordance with UCP 600 guidelines. The position demands strong analytical skills for trade data analysis and regular regulatory reporting, ensuring that all trade activities align with legal and organizational standards. This role does not involve managing a team but requires the ability to work collaboratively within the bank’s trade operations framework to facilitate international trade transactions efficiently and accurately.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant experience in trade operations or a related field. The role is pivotal in maintaining the highest level of compliance while supporting import and export activities, providing critical oversight on export documentation management, and ensuring all trade finance processes are conducted in alignment with international standards. Responsibilities

• Process and manage import and export trade finance transactions ensuring compliance with international and local trade regulations.
• Prepare, verify, and review trade finance documentation including letters of credit, documentary credits, and other relevant documents in accordance with UCP 600 standards.
• Ensure accurate customs documentation and facilitate customs clearance processes in collaboration with relevant authorities and stakeholders.
• Conduct thorough trade data analysis to support decision-making and optimize trade operations efficiency.
• Manage regulatory reporting related to international trade operations, ensuring timely and compliant submissions to relevant authorities.
• Oversee export documentation management to guarantee completeness, accuracy, and adherence to trade regulations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external partners to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth transaction flow.
• Monitor changes in trade policies and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance and update internal processes accordingly.
• Assist in mitigating risks associated with trade finance transactions through diligent compliance and documentation checks.
• Support audits and compliance reviews related to trade operations, providing necessary documentation and information as required.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of international trade rules, customs regulations, and best practices in trade finance.
• Facilitate training and knowledge sharing related to trade finance processes and compliance requirements when needed.
