Faysal Bank Ltd is seeking an experienced Team Leader for Trade Operations specializing in Import and Export processes. The successful candidate will manage a team of 10 professionals and oversee daily operations to ensure compliance with global trade regulations and efficient documentation handling. This role requires a strong background in trade compliance management, import-export documentation, and regulatory standards. The leader will drive process improvements, monitor operational performance, and develop team capabilities to meet company objectives and regulatory requirements. The Team Leader acts as the primary point of contact for regulatory and compliance matters related to import and export activities, ensuring adherence to export control regulations and accurate handling of bills of lading and other critical documentation. The individual coordinates across departments to resolve issues swiftly and maintains up-to-date knowledge of global trade compliance frameworks. This role demands strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills combined with a comprehensive understanding of trade operations within the banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of 10 trade operations specialists handling import and export transactions within the bank.
• Ensure strict compliance with global trade regulations, export control laws, and regulatory standards to minimize risk.
• Oversee the preparation, verification, and management of import-export documentation including bills of lading, shipping documents, and customs paperwork.
• Develop and implement operational policies and procedures in line with regulatory requirements and company standards.
• Conduct regular team training and development sessions to enhance skills in trade compliance and operational excellence.
• Monitor team performance, set clear goals, and provide continuous feedback to ensure high-quality service delivery.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to resolve any transactional or compliance issues efficiently.
• Stay updated with changes in global trade regulations and advise management on necessary process adjustments.
• Review and approve trade transaction reports, ensuring accuracy and completeness before submission.
• Drive process improvement initiatives to streamline operations and improve efficiency in import-export workflows.
