Description
Fenzi Enterprises is seeking a skilled CCTV Installer and Technician with at least three years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing CCTV surveillance systems and related security equipment. This role demands a hands-on technician who ensures the reliable operation of cameras, recording systems, networking devices, and associated infrastructure. The technician plays a critical role in securing premises through effective video surveillance solutions that meet project requirements and company standards. Attention to detail and a commitment to quality installation and maintenance are essential for success in this position. This position does not include team management responsibilities but requires close collaboration with installation teams and project managers to guarantee system performance and client satisfaction. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of various CCTV technologies and network configurations and will work independently to resolve system issues and maintain optimal functionality of surveillance equipment. The role demands technical proficiency, problem-solving skills, and the ability to handle multiple installations efficiently while adhering to safety and compliance guidelines.
Responsibilities
- Install CCTV systems and security equipment at residential, commercial, and industrial locations according to specifications and plans.
- Configure and program Network Video Recorders (NVRs), IP cameras, and other components to ensure seamless operation.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative checks to guarantee continuous functionality and reliability of surveillance systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair hardware and software issues related to video surveillance and security equipment.
- Test system performance upon installation and after repairs to ensure optimal video quality and recording capabilities.
- Set up remote monitoring and alerts systems to enable real-time surveillance and system notifications.
- Interpret wiring diagrams, system schematics, and technical manuals for proper installation and repair work.
- Collaborate with project managers and clients to understand system requirements and deliver customized security solutions.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, electrical standards, and regulations during installation and maintenance activities.
- Document installation processes, service reports, and maintenance logs accurately for future reference and compliance.
- Upgrade and replace existing CCTV infrastructure when necessary to improve system efficiency and security coverage.
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to procure quality equipment and replacement parts.
- Provide technical support and guidance to clients regarding system operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
- Stay updated with the latest industry technologies, best practices, and emerging trends in CCTV and security systems.
