Fenzi Enterprises is seeking a diligent and technically skilled Diploma of Associate Engineer to provide comprehensive support in the installation, testing, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevator systems. This role is ideal for candidates with up to three years of relevant experience in elevator, electrical, mechanical, or field-service roles. Fresh diploma holders may also be considered for trainee or junior positions, offering a valuable opportunity to grow and develop under guidance. The successful candidate ensures the safe, reliable operation of elevator systems in strict compliance with manufacturer guidelines, approved technical specifications, and company standard operating procedures. This position demands meticulous attention to detail, practical troubleshooting skills, and a strong commitment to industrial safety compliance. The Diploma of Associate Engineer works closely with technical teams on-site, assisting with preventive maintenance and root cause analysis to minimize downtime and enhance system performance. Although the position does not include team management responsibilities, the engineer plays a critical frontline role in supervising field activities and contributing to the continuous improvement of elevator service operations through hands-on technical expertise.
Responsibilities
- Provide on-site technical support and supervision for elevator installation, testing, and commissioning activities to ensure adherence to technical standards and safety protocols.
- Perform routine and preventive maintenance on mechanical and electrical elevator systems to optimize performance and reliability.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot elevator faults promptly using systematic methods, including root cause analysis and problem-solving techniques.
- Ensure all elevator systems comply with industrial safety regulations, company SOPs, and manufacturer specifications at every stage of operation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including electrical, mechanical, and quality control personnel, to coordinate field service activities efficiently.
- Document maintenance, repair, and inspection activities accurately to maintain detailed records for compliance and operational review.
- Identify potential system failures and implement corrective measures proactively to prevent downtime and costly repairs.
- Assist in training junior and trainee engineers by sharing practical knowledge and best practices in elevator technology and safety measures.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and instrumentation in proper condition and report any issues or needs for repairs immediately.
- Stay updated with technical advancements in elevator installation and servicing to continuously enhance work quality and efficiency.
- Support the quality control process by ensuring elevator installations meet design specifications and client expectations.
- Participate actively in safety audits and risk assessments to foster a safe working environment at all times.
