Forged for Manufacturing invites passionate and hands-on individuals to join our team in Lahore as Mechanical Prototyping and Fabrication Interns. In this role, you actively participate in transforming engineering designs into tangible parts and prototypes. You will gain practical experience working directly with various fabrication techniques such as 3D printing, CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, and mechanical assembly, making significant contributions to the development process. This internship opportunity is ideal for candidates holding a Diploma of Associate Engineering (Mechanical), Bachelor of Technology, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering degrees who demonstrate strong practical interest and willingness to learn. The focus lies on building your skills through actual hands-on work, including sourcing materials locally, supporting design for manufacturability, and refining fabrication processes. Prior corporate experience is not a prerequisite, allowing enthusiastic individuals to develop valuable expertise in a real-world manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate 3D printers, and perform part post processing.
- Assist with sheet metal cutting, bending, and assembly work.
- Visit local markets in Lahore to source mechanical parts, raw materials, and hardware.
- Assemble physical components and test fits, tolerances, and mechanisms.
- Identify fitment issues during builds, and suggest practical fixes.
- Keep clean notes on test results and component sources.
Job Requirements:
- Qualification in DAE (Mechanical or related), B-Tech, or BS Engineering.
- Familiarity with basic workshop tools and fabrication methods.
- Prior experience with 3D printers or sheet metal work is a plus, but not strictly required.
Strong willingness to learn hands on prototyping techniques and visit local supplier markets.
