Future Forge Builder is seeking a talented and creative Interior Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate possesses strong expertise in space planning and project management, with at least two years of professional experience. You play a crucial role in shaping interior environments that balance aesthetics, functionality, and client preferences. This role involves developing innovative design concepts, preparing detailed 3D renderings and AutoCAD drawings, selecting materials, and managing lighting design to enhance spatial experiences. The Interior Designer will collaborate closely with clients to understand their needs and translate them into viable, stylish solutions. Clear communication skills are essential to effectively present design ideas and guide projects through to completion. In this position, you will lead various phases of the design process from initial client consultation through final installation, ensuring that every detail aligns with client expectations and company standards. You will utilize your expertise with 3D modeling and rendering tools such as SketchUp and 3ds Max, bringing designs to life and enabling clear visualization of concepts. Additionally, material selection and mood board creation are integral to crafting cohesive and inspiring interior environments. Though you will not manage a team, you will work collaboratively with project stakeholders, suppliers, and contractors to deliver outstanding design solutions on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Consult with clients to assess needs, preferences, and project goals, ensuring all requirements are thoroughly understood and integrated into design plans.
- Develop and present innovative and feasible interior design concepts, incorporating space planning, material selection, lighting design, and aesthetics.
- Create detailed 2D and 3D design drawings, renderings, and models using AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3ds Max, and other 3D modeling software to effectively communicate design intent.
- Produce comprehensive AutoCAD drafting including architectural design, lighting layout, and space configuration to support project execution.
- Select appropriate materials, finishes, and furnishings that meet aesthetic and functional requirements while balancing budgetary constraints.
- Prepare mood boards and visual presentations to assist clients in visualizing the proposed design direction and facilitating decision-making.
- Coordinate and collaborate with contractors, suppliers, and other project stakeholders to ensure accurate execution of design plans and timely completion.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, overseeing schedules and resources to meet deadlines and maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct site visits as necessary to monitor project progress, verify accuracy of implementation, and address any design-related issues.
- Keep current with industry trends, new materials, technologies, and sustainable design practices to continuously enhance design quality.
- Maintain accurate documentation of design iterations, client communications, and project specifications to support transparency and continuity.
