The Design Engineer - Solar Division at Ghulam Faruque Group is responsible for developing and executing detailed designs for solar photovoltaic systems and electrical power systems. This role focuses on creating efficient and reliable solar solutions by leveraging strong technical expertise and practical experience in renewable energy projects. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the seamless integration of solar technologies into various applications, maintaining high standards of design quality and compliance with industry regulations. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement in design processes. This role demands a professional with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in solar PV design or electrical power systems, possessing a bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering. The Design Engineer must be proficient in software tools like AutoCAD, HelioScope, and other design software essential for the creation and validation of solar systems. Although this position does not include team management responsibilities, it requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders to deliver projects effectively within the renewable energy sector.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed designs and layouts for solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including On-Grid, Hybrid, and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects.
- Conduct electrical system design and power flow analysis to ensure system efficiency and reliability.
- Utilize design software such as AutoCAD, HelioScope, PVSyst, and ETAP for creating and optimizing solar and electrical system designs.
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to ensure design accuracy and compliance with technical specifications and industry standards.
- Perform site assessments and feasibility studies to support project development and identify optimal design solutions.
- Prepare technical documentation, reports, and design calculations required for project approvals and execution.
- Review and update design drawings and specifications as projects progress and changes occur.
- Ensure designs comply with local codes, standards, and safety regulations related to renewable energy systems.
- Assist in troubleshooting design-related issues during installation and commissioning phases to ensure project success.
- Keep up to date with emerging technologies and best practices in solar PV system design to continually enhance design quality and efficiency.
