Global Rice Sourcing (GRS) is looking for a motivated, analytical and detail-oriented professional to join our team under our associate company Rice News Today (RNT) as a Rice Market Research & Digital Marketing Executive.
About the Role
Rice News Today (RNT) is a subscription-based information platform providing valuable rice industry news, market information, prices, trade data and market insights to subscribers involved in the international rice business.
The successful candidate will be responsible for researching the global rice market, maintaining and updating our website, preparing rice-related data and reports, and supporting the online marketing of RNT to potential subscribers worldwide.
This is a research-oriented role with content, data and digital marketing responsibilities. The candidate should have strong English communication skills, good research ability and excellent attention to detail.
Responsibilities
1. Rice News & Website Management
- Search and monitor reliable sources for the latest rice industry news and developments worldwide.
- Identify important and relevant rice-related news for RNT subscribers.
- Prepare, edit and publish news articles on the RNT website using WordPress.
- Ensure website content is accurate, properly formatted and published on a timely basis.
- Maintain and organize website content as required.
2. Rice Market Research & Analysis
- Conduct regular online research on the Pakistan and international rice markets.
- Monitor and report on:
- Rice prices and price trends in Pakistan
- Paddy prices and market movements
- Rice sowing and harvesting developments
- Crop conditions and production trends
- Export trends
- Major developments affecting the rice trade
- Research major rice-producing and rice-trading countries and prepare brief summaries of their market situation.
- Track relevant international developments that may affect rice prices, production, exports or imports.
- Prepare weekly and monthly rice market reports based on the information collected.
3. Rice Data & Excel Work
- Collect, organize and maintain rice-related data in Microsoft Excel.
- Prepare rice variety-wise data files according to company requirements.
- Compile and maintain Pakistan rice export data and other relevant trade statistics.
- Organize historical and current data into clear and usable Excel files.
- Ensure all figures, varieties, dates and sources are checked carefully before submission.
4. Online Marketing & Subscriber Development
- Support the online marketing of Rice News Today (RNT) to potential subscribers worldwide.
- Identify potential companies, traders, importers, exporters, mills and other businesses involved in the international rice trade.
- Conduct B2B prospect research and maintain prospect lists.
- Communicate with potential customers through professional emails and other online channels.
- Introduce RNT's subscription services to potential customers and follow up professionally.
