Gn Stores is seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Cashier with at least three to four years of experience in counter billing to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing cash transactions efficiently and accurately, providing excellent customer service, and maintaining the organized operation of the billing counter. This role requires proficiency in handling cash, operating point-of-sale (POS) systems, and ensuring all billing operations are seamless to support daily store activities. Attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment are essential for success in this position. As a Cashier at Gn Stores, you will not be managing a team but will play a critical role in customer interactions and store function. You will be expected to maintain high standards of accuracy in all transactions, respond promptly to customer inquiries, and contribute to maintaining a friendly and professional atmosphere at the billing station. The position demands a responsible individual who can follow procedures and cash handling policies to prevent discrepancies and support the store’s overall operational goals.

Responsibilities

• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently at the billing counter.
• Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems to process sales and returns.
• Verify prices and scan items to ensure correct billing.
• Balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts and report discrepancies.
• Provide excellent customer service by addressing customer questions and concerns professionally and promptly.
• Maintain an organized and clean billing area to facilitate smooth operations.
• Assist in training new cashiers on POS systems and store procedures as needed.
• Follow all store policies and procedures related to cash handling and billing.
• Process various forms of payment including cash, credit cards, and digital payments accurately.
• Support inventory control by reporting any inconsistencies or suspicious transactions to management.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and security regulations during transactions.
• Collaborate with store staff to create a welcoming environment for customers.
