Gradvisors is seeking an experienced HR and Business Manager to lead and oversee people operations as well as the day-to-day business functions within the organization. This role requires a combination of strategic HR leadership and hands-on management of operational and administrative tasks, including payroll, tax deductions, employee leave, and attendance management. The HR and Business Manager will be responsible for spearheading the hiring processes across multiple platforms such as job portals, university partnerships, and referral networks to fill vacancies efficiently while maintaining a professional and impartial workplace culture. The successful candidate will manage and guide a team of seven individuals, delegate tasks from senior leadership, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of assignments. This role also involves training new hires on internal systems and processes, supporting client calls and counselling sessions, and upholding confidentiality and neutrality in all workplace interactions. With a focus on strategic planning and workforce optimization, the HR and Business Manager contributes significantly to the professional development and operational success of Gradvisors.

Responsibilities

- Lead and manage recruitment activities across various job platforms, university partnerships, and referral networks to attract and hire top talent.
- Supervise and coordinate the work of a team of seven, delegating tasks provided by senior leadership and ensuring timely and accurate completion.
- Oversee payroll operations, including processing salaries, handling tax deductions, and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Manage employee attendance and leave administration in compliance with company policies.
- Train and onboard new employees on company systems, processes, and best practices to facilitate smooth integration.
- Maintain a professional and non-partisan workplace culture while ensuring confidentiality and neutrality in handling sensitive employee matters.
- Support client consultations and counselling sessions as needed, contributing to the delivery of personalized career solutions.
- Implement and utilize HR information systems (Workday and talent management software) to optimize HR operations and improve reporting.
- Conduct performance management processes, including evaluations and employee engagement initiatives.
- Collaborate on strategic planning and workforce development initiatives to align human resource efforts with organizational goals.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues through effective conflict management strategies.
- Maintain compliance with HR policies, labor laws, and organizational standards.
- Monitor and report on HR metrics to senior leadership, providing insights for continuous improvement.
