Gul Bottlers is seeking a motivated and experienced Territory Sales Officer (TSO) to lead and manage direct retail sales operations in Sukkur City. The ideal candidate will oversee a sales team of five members and be responsible for enhancing market presence and sales performance in the assigned territory. This role demands a strategic approach to territory sales planning, team supervision, and customer relationship management to maximize retail outlet coverage and sales productivity. Candidates should have 3 to 5 years of experience in FMCG sales, preferably within beverages, dairy, or snacks sectors, along with a strong command of the local market dynamics in Sukkur and Rohri. The TSO will ensure efficient daily route management, coordinate with dispatch and collection teams, and maintain accurate sales records through CRM and sales force automation tools. This role requires strong analytical skills for monitoring sales metrics such as market coverage, strike rate, and secondary sales, as well as the ability to conduct coaching sessions and audits to improve sales team performance. A bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required, while an MBA qualification is considered an advantage. Proficiency in Excel and mobile sales applications is essential for success in this role.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a sales team of five members, including order bookers and salesmen, to achieve set sales targets and improve retail outlet productivity within the territory.
- Develop and implement effective sales territory plans to increase market penetration and optimize the utilization of resources.
- Manage daily market routes ensuring timely visits to retail outlets, monitoring sales activities, and maintaining high service levels.
- Monitor and analyze key sales indicators including market coverage, strike rate, drop size, and secondary sales to identify areas for improvement and adjust sales strategies accordingly.
- Coordinate with dispatch teams to ensure accurate delivery of products and track cash collections promptly to maintain healthy cash flows.
- Conduct regular market visits, route audits, and customer feedback sessions to gather insights and address challenges in real-time.
- Coach and mentor sales team members to enhance their product knowledge, selling skills, and overall performance.
- Prepare comprehensive sales reports and ensure compliance with Sales Force Automation (SFA) and Global Positioning System (GPS) monitoring requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and retailers to support long-term business growth and customer retention.
- Ensure effective communication with internal departments to streamline operations and resolve any field-related issues promptly.
