General Building Manager

Description

Haier is seeking a highly skilled General Building Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of building construction and maintenance projects, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency. This role requires expertise in civil construction within industrial and factory settings, with a solid background in facility and project management. The successful candidate will lead a team of 20 professionals, coordinating multiple stakeholders to deliver projects on time and within budget while enforcing compliance with construction standards and safety regulations. The General Building Manager will leverage strong knowledge in AutoCAD, building codes, and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) requirements to guide construction activities and manage vendor relationships effectively. This position demands proven experience in contract negotiation, budgeting and cost control, and the ability to handle complex project documentation. The role is critical to maintaining Haier's commitment to quality infrastructure and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead review, coordination and take approval of PEB structural and civil designs, ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards and project requirements.
• Plan and drive project execution by developing schedules, setting milestones and effectively managing manpower, machinery and materials.
• Support and optimize commercial activities through technical inputs for RFQs, bidding, cost estimation, vendor evaluation and budget control.
• Enforce quality and HSE standards through regular site inspections, material checks, and timely resolution of construction and safety issues.
• Coordinate and monitor site teams, PMC, contractors, and management while tracking progress, resolving challenges, and delivering timely project reports.
