Senior Executive Horticulture

Description

Hamdard Pakistan is seeking a Senior Executive Horticulture to oversee and manage agricultural and horticultural operations in the Lahore region and remotely across Punjab. This role involves detailed planning and supervision of plantation activities, nursery management, cultivation, irrigation, plant health monitoring, and other field operations. The ideal candidate possesses a strong educational background in Agriculture, Horticulture, or a related field with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience. Although this role does not include team management responsibilities, it requires effective coordination with field staff and operational teams to ensure the successful execution of horticultural projects. The Senior Executive Horticulture plays a critical role in implementing best practices in horticulture to optimize crop growth and yield. This position demands expertise in monitoring plant development, soil health, irrigation schedules, and pest management strategies. The candidate must be capable of maintaining detailed progress reports and ensuring all activities follow established agricultural guidelines. Additionally, the job requires flexibility to work remotely and travel throughout Punjab to supervise field activities and maintain operational excellence across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and supervise plantation and horticultural activities to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Monitor plant growth, soil conditions, irrigation systems, and pest control measures to maintain optimum plant health.
• Manage and coordinate with field staff and operational teams to ensure smooth execution of horticultural tasks without direct team management.
• Implement and promote good agricultural practices to maintain high standards of crop production and sustainability.
• Maintain comprehensive progress and operational reports to track horticultural activities and outcomes.
• Conduct regular inspections of plantation sites to assess plant health and soil quality and recommend necessary interventions.
• Coordinate nursery management activities including plant propagation, seedling care, and distribution.
• Develop and adapt irrigation schedules based on plant requirements and weather conditions to conserve water resources.
• Oversee pest and disease monitoring programs and recommend appropriate control measures.
• Ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations related to agricultural operations.
• Provide technical support and advice to field staff and operational teams to optimize horticultural practices.
• Travel across Punjab for remote supervision of field operations ensuring consistency and quality control.
• Assist in planning resources, budgets, and procurement related to horticultural activities to meet operational goals.
