Description
We are looking for a finance professional to lead the company's finance function in a ring spinning mill environment. This is a full-time, on-site Finance Manager role based at our Lahore head office, with periodic visits to the mill in Sheikhupura. You will oversee accounting, costing, taxation, and reporting, supervise the finance team, review ledgers, reconciliations, and cash flows, and prepare monthly financial statements and MIS reports. A key part of the role is count-wise yarn costing, covering fiber cost, conversion cost, and waste, along with profitability and variance analysis. You will manage sales tax and income tax compliance, coordinate with auditors and banks, optimize working capital, and support management with budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of finance experience in a ring spinning mill (mandatory).
- Hands-on experience with yarn costing, count-wise profitability, and fiber procurement analysis.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
- Practical experience with the Sales Tax Act, Income Tax Ordinance, and FBR compliance.
- Experience managing cash flow, working capital, and banking relationships, including running finance and LCs.
- Advanced Excel skills. ERP experience is a plus.
- ACA, ACCA, ACMA, or a Master's in Finance/Accounting.
- Proven ability to lead a finance team and work closely with production and management.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and present detailed financial reports including monthly, quarterly, and annual statements in compliance with IFRS and GAAP standards.
- Develop, implement, and monitor budgets and forecasts to support financial planning and operational objectives of the ring spinning mill.
- Manage cost control processes by analyzing production costs, yarn costing, and inventory management to maximize profitability and reduce wastage.
- Oversee cash flow management ensuring adequate liquidity for daily operations and long-term investment needs.
- Coordinate compliance and regulatory reporting, including adherence to FBR guidelines and sales tax requirements.
- Conduct risk management assessments to identify financial risks specific to manufacturing and supply chain operations and implement mitigation strategies.
- Supervise and guide a team of three finance professionals, fostering development and ensuring accurate and timely execution of financial tasks.
- Support enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation and maintenance related to financial data integration and reporting accuracy.
- Collaborate with internal departments such as production, procurement, and sales to align financial processes with operational needs.
- Ensure accuracy of cost estimation and work closely with management to optimize resource allocation.
- Maintain and enhance accounting processes using software tools like SAP or Oracle Financials to drive efficiency and compliance.
- Stay updated with changes in financial regulations and standards to keep the company compliant and competitive.
