Hexa Building Solutions is seeking an entry-level Junior MEP Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. This role involves preparing accurate quantity takeoffs and cost estimates for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing projects, specifically focusing on HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will have foundational knowledge in these disciplines and a basic understanding of estimation methods, enabling them to support project management and procurement teams effectively. This position requires a candidate with a mechanical engineering background who is eager to grow within the construction and building solutions industry. As this is a junior role, no team management responsibilities are involved, allowing the candidate to concentrate on developing technical expertise and estimation skills.

Responsibilities

Assist in preparation of quantity takeoffs for MEP systems including HVAC, firefighting, and plumbing.

Use project drawings and specifications to calculate material and labor quantities accurately.

Apply basic estimation methods to develop cost estimates aligned with project budgets and timelines.

Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to gather and validate project information.

Support senior estimators in preparing detailed bid proposals and tender documents.

Maintain updated knowledge of industry standards and materials related to mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.

Prepare reports and documentation that clearly outline quantities and cost breakdowns.

Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during estimation activities.

Continuously improve estimation accuracy by analyzing project data and applying lessons learned.

Contribute to value engineering initiatives by identifying potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
