The manager oversees a multidisciplinary engineering team of approximately 20 members, driving the architecture and technical strategy for scalable, secure, and high-performance web solutions. A strong command of PHP and Laravel frameworks, coupled with extensive hands-on experience with APIs, payment gateways, and microservices, is essential for success in this role. The manager is also responsible for championing best practices in code review, testing, and quality assurance to maintain high standards of software delivery.

Role Overview
One of our clients is looking for an experienced Web Development Manager to lead a large engineering team and oversee enterprise-level web application development, architecture, integrations, performance, security, and delivery standards.
Must-Have Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in web/software development
- 2–3+ years in technical leadership or engineering management
- Strong hands-on expertise in PHP & Laravel
- Experience managing a team of approximately 15–20+ engineers
- Strong experience with APIs, payment gateways, microservices, and third-party integrations
- Good knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Linux, and CI/CD
- Strong understanding of code reviews, automated testing, application security, and performance optimization
- Experience using AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or LLM-based tools
Key Responsibilities
- Lead architecture and development of enterprise web applications
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary engineering team
- Oversee payment gateway and third-party system integrations
- Establish code review, testing, and quality standards
- Manage Agile/Scrum workflows, sprint planning, and resource allocation
- Improve application performance, scalability, and security
- Define best practices for Git workflows, CI/CD, and technical documentation
- Drive adoption of AI-assisted development practices
- Conduct performance reviews and support team development
