Electrician / Electrical Technician – Malaysia

Description

HR World International is seeking a skilled Electrician / Electrical Technician with at least five years of experience to join and lead a team of 30 professionals. The ideal candidate is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across residential, commercial, and industrial sites in Malaysia. A strong focus on safety and compliance with Malaysian electrical standards is essential to ensure all electrical work is completed to the highest quality and regulatory standards. This role requires hands-on expertise in electrical wiring, installation of lighting systems, sockets, switches, distribution boards, circuit breakers, and other electrical equipment. The candidate will regularly inspect electrical installations, identify faults, and perform timely repairs while collaborating closely with supervisors and other technicians on various construction and maintenance projects. The position demands physical fitness and readiness to work in diverse site conditions, supported by a technical background and effective team leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring and equipment in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
• Install electrical components such as lights, switches, sockets, distribution boards, and miniature circuit breakers.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults promptly to minimize downtime.
• Conduct routine electrical maintenance and thorough inspections to identify potential issues and ensure system integrity.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manuals accurately to execute safe and effective installations.
• Test electrical systems with appropriate tools and instruments to verify compliance and safety standards.
• Follow established workplace safety procedures at all times to maintain a safe working environment for the team and site personnel.
• Maintain electrical tools and equipment in proper working order to ensure efficiency and safety.
• Lead and coordinate a team of 30 electricians and technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high productivity and quality standards.
• Collaborate with supervisors and other technicians on construction and maintenance projects to deliver timely and successful electrical services.
• Stay updated on Malaysian electrical standards and best practices to ensure all work adheres to regulatory requirements.
• Ensure all documentation and reports related to electrical work are accurate and submitted in a timely manner.
