Description
The Production Scheduler at HRSI plays a critical role in ensuring efficient production planning and scheduling aligned with demand, capacity, and material availability. This position requires converting net requirements into actionable monthly production plans and weekly or daily schedules that maximize resources while maintaining production flow without bottlenecks. The scheduler coordinates closely with multiple departments—Dispensing, Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Plant Maintenance, and Technical teams—to uphold schedule adherence, quality standards, and material availability, ensuring the smooth operation of manufacturing processes. Additionally, the Production Scheduler supports strategic long-term and short-term production planning to optimize resource utilization and capacity. The role involves managing key performance indicators such as schedule adherence, capacity utilization, and on-time delivery while maintaining compliance with GMP, EHS, and FSSC 22000 standards. This role demands meticulous attention to ERP systems like SAP/APO, continuous monitoring of inventory and production orders, and active contribution to audits and risk management practices. The position requires a minimum of three years of relevant experience and does not involve team management responsibilities.
Responsibilities
- Convert net requirements into detailed monthly production plans and weekly/daily schedules, considering demand forecasts, capacity constraints, and material availability.
- Create production orders in compliance with standard operating procedures, balancing machine and line capacities to avoid bottlenecks.
- Continuously monitor schedule adherence and adjust production plans in response to unplanned events such as equipment breakdowns, quality holds, or material shortages.
- Optimize inventory levels by reviewing material requirements planning and ordering parameters to prevent stock-outs and excess inventory.
- Coordinate with material schedulers and planners to ensure just-in-time availability of raw materials aligns with production schedules.
- Manage inbound and outbound material movements by collaborating with Warehouse teams and external suppliers.
- Liaise with Dispensing, Production, Quality Assurance, Supply Chain, Plant Maintenance, and Technical teams to ensure seamless schedule execution and support preventive maintenance and validation activities.
- Manage scheduling transactions within SAP/APO or relevant ERP systems with an emphasis on data integrity and accurate reflection of customer and sales orders.
- Track and report on site key performance indicators (KPIs), including Available-to-Promise (CTP), Total Throughput Velocity (CTV), Total Resource Throughput (CTR), On-Time In-Full (OTIF), schedule adherence, changeover times, and capacity utilization, ensuring targets are met.
- Drive strategic long-term and short-term production planning, utilizing resource capacity optimally and supporting sales and operations planning (S&OP) processes with scheduling feasibility input.
- Conduct regular capacity planning to review and measure utilization and identify constraints monthly and yearly.
- Ensure timely fulfillment of Tender Order requirements in accordance with stipulated timelines.
- Maintain strict compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) policies, Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000 V5.1), and Haleon Corporate Guidelines.
- Support food safety initiatives by assisting the food safety team leader with FSSC 22000 implementation and documentation management.
- Participate in periodic audits by organizing and updating documentation such as job descriptions, standard operating procedures, signatory lists, and organizational charts.
- Identify and escalate risks related to production planning, including delays and capacity limitations, ensuring timely mitigation.
- Communicate SKU price updates effectively to the commercial team and participate in floor and tier-level performance meetings to resolve operational issues.
- Continuously review and optimize material requirements planning and production schedules to improve plant recoveries and operational efficiency.
- Ensure adherence to Environment, Health, and Safety regulations applicable by law and Haleon Corporate Guidelines.
