Description

This position requires attending emergency call-outs to restore equipment function promptly, performing detailed fault analysis, and reporting maintenance activities comprehensively using established formats. The DG Mechanic employs test equipment proficiently to evaluate performance and identify root causes for failures, enabling effective issue resolution and avoidance of recurrent problems. Close coordination with operations teams ensures the smooth running of service operations. Though this role does not involve managing a team, it demands strong technical skills, problem-solving capabilities, and disciplined workflow management to maintain operational excellence and extend asset life cycles at I Engineering Pakistan.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on diesel generators and associated mechanical assets as per company procedures and agreed checklists.
Complete service requests efficiently and ensure all mechanical issues are resolved permanently to maintain continuous equipment function.
Schedule and execute routine maintenance activities in alignment with preventive maintenance plans and service level agreements.
Identify, troubleshoot, and repair faults in diesel engines, electrical systems, hydraulic systems, fuel systems, and cooling systems.
Respond promptly to emergency call-outs, restore equipment service rapidly, and follow up until permanent resolution is achieved.
Coordinate maintenance activities and communications between network operations center, supervisors, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth operations.
Conduct site cleaning and janitorial tasks to maintain safe and organized work environments around the equipment.
Utilize testing devices and equipment to analyze operational performance, interpret test results, and support diagnostic processes.
Document all faults, maintenance actions, deficiencies, and unusual occurrences using i engineering's reporting formats.
Support installation, commissioning, decommissioning, and system upgrades of mechanical equipment as required.
Advise on root causes of recurring mechanical issues and recommend appropriate solutions to improve equipment reliability.
Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and maintain awareness of necessary safety precautions during all maintenance tasks.
