Description

Innovative Engineering Solution is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Draftsman with a minimum of three years of experience in MEP drafting and contracting to join their team in Karachi. The primary focus of this role is to prepare detailed, accurate, and coordinated drawings for HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Plumbing systems. The candidate must demonstrate proficiency in AutoCAD 2D and have practical experience creating shop drawings, installation drawings, coordination drawings, as-built drawings, and interpreting IFC drawings and project specifications. This role requires close collaboration with site engineers, project managers, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure drawings reflect site conditions and all project requirements. The ideal candidate has a thorough knowledge of ducting, piping, MEP symbols, and drawing accuracy, as well as the ability to resolve drawing clashes and maintain revision registers effectively. Experience with Revit MEP and BIM is considered an advantage. Responsibilities

• Create precise and coordinated HVAC, Fire Fighting, and Plumbing shop drawings that meet project standards.
• Develop installation, coordination, and as-built drawings that align with project scope and requirements.
• Carefully review IFC drawings, architectural layouts, and consultant feedback, incorporating necessary revisions into the drawings.
• Coordinate and verify MEP drawings against site conditions and other trades to prevent conflicts and facilitate smooth project execution.
• Draft detailed layouts and components for ducting, piping, equipment, fire fighting, and plumbing systems.
• Maintain organized drawing registers, track revisions, and keep records of drawing submissions regularly.
• Collaborate efficiently with site engineers, project managers, consultants, and various stakeholders to ensure drawing accuracy and project alignment.
• Conduct site visits when necessary to measure and confirm dimensions and conditions to update drawings accurately.
• Apply knowledge of HVAC ducting, fire fighting piping, plumbing and sanitary layouts to optimize drafting output.
• Utilize AutoCAD 2D extensively to produce high-quality professional-grade MEP drawings.
• Leverage understanding of MEP symbols, layers, drawing standards, sections, and details to enhance quality and compliance.
• Manage the interpretation of complex technical drawings and project specifications to deliver precise outputs.
• Support project workflow with accurate documentation, timely updates, and effective communication within the team.
