Your expertise in network architecture, routing, switching, and firewall management will be essential in ensuring secure, reliable, and efficient connectivity across the organization. This position requires hands-on experience with various network devices and technologies, along with a deep understanding of network security and disaster recovery practices in fast-paced, high-availability environments such as brokerage, banking, or fintech sectors. As a Network & Infrastructure Engineer with IEL, you will focus on monitoring network performance, managing VPN technologies, and troubleshooting to resolve network issues promptly. You will be responsible for adhering to best practices in cybersecurity, change management, and business continuity to safeguard critical infrastructure. This position does not involve team management but requires collaborating effectively with IT and cybersecurity teams to maintain seamless network operations that meet organizational goals.
Responsibilities
- Design, configure, and maintain network architecture involving routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs to support business infrastructure.
- Implement network security measures including firewall and VPN management to protect corporate resources from external and internal threats.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues using advanced network monitoring tools to ensure optimal uptime and efficiency.
- Plan and execute disaster recovery strategies to minimize disruptions and ensure business continuity in case of network failures.
- Support change management processes by documenting network configurations, upgrades, and patching activities aligned with company policies.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to update and enforce network security policies, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and upgrades of hardware and software components to enhance network reliability and scalability.
- Provide technical support and training related to network infrastructure to internal teams and stakeholders as needed.
- Stay current with emerging networking technologies, protocols, and best practices to continuously improve infrastructure capabilities.
- Participate in network capacity planning and evaluate new solutions to improve infrastructure performance and reduce risks.
