Printkraft Pvt Ltd is seeking an experienced Assistant Manager of Graphic Design having Bachelor’s in Applied Arts (Printing, Packaging & Publishing) with minimum 8–10 years of hands-on experience, to lead a skilled team of five in delivering high-quality graphic solutions. This role demands an expert in creative direction and brand identity development, with hands-on expertise in print production and pre-press operations within the printing and packaging industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving the design process from concept through completion, ensuring precise layout design and quality control that aligns with brand standards and industry best practices. A proactive and detail-focused professional is required to maintain efficiency and quality under tight deadlines while fostering a collaborative team environment. The Assistant Manager will utilize advanced skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and CorelDraw, coupled with knowledge of Heidelberg Prepress Systems and offset color separation, to optimize layouts and manage print production workflows effectively. This position also requires deep understanding of product design elements such as material types, inks, varnishes, and soft proofing, alongside strong communication abilities and proficiency in MS Office. The role involves overseeing the entire pre-press process, mentoring team members, and ensuring projects meet quality standards and client specifications consistently.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of five graphic design professionals, encouraging collaboration, creativity, and development.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute creative direction for brand identity and packaging designs in line with company objectives.
• Oversee pre-press operations including layout design, color separation, quality control, and print production optimization.
• Utilize Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, CorelDraw, and Heidelberg Prepress Systems to develop and finalize high-quality graphic layouts.
• Ensure all design projects comply with print and packaging industry standards, including material selection, ink usage, varnish applications, and soft proofing processes.
• Manage deadlines and workload to deliver projects efficiently under pressure while maintaining high-quality output.
• Review and improve print production workflows for better efficiency and reduced errors.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate design requirements and feedback effectively.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of design trends, software updates, and printing technologies to ensure the team uses best practices.
• Prepare reports on project status, quality issues, and team performance for management review.
• Train, mentor, and support team members to develop their technical skills and professional growth.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment with design goals and client expectations.
