Description

International Delivery Express seeks a detail-oriented Accountant to join the IDE Logistics team in Islamabad. This role focuses on managing financial transactions, ensuring compliance with tax regulations, and supporting accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate possesses a relevant qualification in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce and demonstrates at least four years of practical accounting experience. Proficiency in Excel and accounting software, preferably Zoho Books, is essential to handle diverse accounting tasks efficiently. The Accountant plays a crucial role in maintaining financial integrity by reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and coordinating audit activities. Attention to accuracy, organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining data integrity are vital. Experience in the courier or logistics sector is advantageous but not required. This position does not involve team management, allowing the individual to concentrate on key accounting functions that support decision-making and financial stability within the company.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain the general ledger by recording all financial transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
• Perform regular account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data and identify discrepancies.
• Coordinate with external auditors and support internal audit processes to ensure compliance and preparedness for financial reviews.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable by processing invoices, payments, and maintaining up-to-date records to manage cash flows effectively.
• Assist in budgeting and financial forecasting by compiling data, analyzing trends, and providing reports to support business planning.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations through timely preparation and submission of tax filings and maintenance of proper documentation.
• Utilize ERP accounting software, preferably Zoho Books, to monitor financial activities, generate reports, and maintain accurate data.
• Conduct spreadsheet analysis to identify patterns, errors, or areas for financial improvement.
• Support daily accounting operations with accuracy and integrity, maintaining organized and accessible financial records.
• Collaborate with internal departments to gather necessary accounting data and support financial decision-making.
• Apply knowledge of logistics or courier industry accounting practices to strengthen financial processes where applicable.
