Iqra Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Quran Teacher specializing in Quran recitation, Tajweed, and Islamic studies to join our work-from-home team. The ideal candidate is fluent in English and possesses strong communication skills. This role requires teaching Quran and Islamic principles to international students primarily from the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada through online platforms. The candidate must exhibit expertise in Tajweed rules, Arabic pronunciation, and Quran memorization (Hifz), with a dedication to providing a comprehensive and respectful learning experience. This teaching position demands a commitment to long-term engagement and the ability to work flexible hours within a mostly night-time schedule, ensuring quality education is delivered consistently. As a Quran Teacher at Iqra Academy, you will be responsible for planning and delivering structured lessons that focus on accurate Quran recitation and understanding. Your role includes assessing student progress, adapting instructional strategies to meet individual learning preferences, and maintaining engagement through interactive and culturally sensitive teaching methods. Candidates must have prior online teaching experience, a reliable internet connection, and appropriate hardware to facilitate seamless virtual classes. Although this position does not involve managing a team, it requires excellent self-discipline and organizational skills to successfully balance scheduling and deliver quality instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver online Quranic lessons focusing on Tajweed, recitation, memorization (Hifz), and Tafsir based on students’ proficiency levels.
• Instruct students on proper Arabic pronunciation, Tajweed rules, and Makharij al-Huruf and Sifaat to enhance Quranic reading accuracy.
• Develop lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning styles and maintain student engagement in virtual environments.
• Assess students regularly to monitor progress, provide constructive feedback, and modify teaching methods to address their needs.
• Use clear and fluent English communication to ensure understanding among students from different linguistic backgrounds.
• Maintain a professional and respectful classroom environment that honors Islamic values and cultural sensitivities.
• Schedule and manage teaching hours efficiently within the designated night-time shift timeframe, providing up to seven hours of daily instruction.
• Stay updated with relevant Quranic teaching methodologies and best practices for online education to continually improve instructional quality.
• Ensure availability of and proficiency with digital teaching tools and platforms to conduct smooth and interactive online sessions.
• Commit to long-term teaching engagement, fostering consistent student-teacher relationships that support learning continuity.
