Description
Jersey Precast is seeking a seasoned Business Development and Feasibility Manager Precast to spearhead the preliminary feasibility and business development initiatives for establishing precast manufacturing operations in Pakistan. This hands-on role demands a Civil or Mechanical Engineer with strong business judgment, capable of conducting comprehensive market assessments, evaluating potential industrial sites, and coordinating both technical and financial inputs. The successful candidate will deliver clear investment recommendations to senior management, combining engineering expertise with commercial acumen to drive strategic decisions. The manager will evaluate market demand, identify anchor customers, appraise industrial zones, and navigate complex environmental and regulatory frameworks. Strong skills in financial modeling, report writing, and presentation are essential to communicate findings and recommendations effectively. Although the role does not entail managing a team, the individual will coordinate specialists and internal teams to develop comprehensive operational and financial frameworks that support Jersey Precast’s growth strategy in the Sindh region.
Responsibilities
- Lead comprehensive feasibility studies for establishing precast manufacturing plants in Karachi or alternative sites within Sindh, including site selection and industrial zone evaluation.
- Conduct in-depth market research to assess demand, customer requirements, competing products, pricing strategies, project pipelines, and entry barriers within the precast concrete sector.
- Identify and establish relationships with potential anchor customers, strategic partners, and early business opportunity prospects.

- Investigate government incentives, concessions, and approval processes, including collaboration with special economic zones and industrial authority representatives.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external experts to define preliminary product mix, plant capacity, production processes, equipment needs, utility requirements, staffing levels, and operational assumptions.
- Develop, coordinate, and maintain detailed financial models covering capital expenditure (CAPEX), operating expenses (OPEX), revenue projections, working capital estimates, and various business scenarios to inform decision-making.
- Present clear, concise, and well-supported go/no-go investment recommendations to senior management, outlining key risks and a roadmap for implementation.
- Support project implementation by engaging stakeholders, building customer pipelines, and ensuring alignment of operations with strategic business objectives.
- Conduct field visits, stakeholder interviews, and site assessments to gather essential data and validate assumptions, ensuring a balanced and rigorous feasibility analysis.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, regulatory shifts, environmental requirements, and government incentive programs relevant to precast manufacturing and construction materials.
- Utilize advanced skills in Excel, financial modeling, report writing, and presentations to communicate findings, facilitate decision-making, and garner stakeholder buy-in.
