Supply Chain Officer

Description

JR Industries is seeking a dedicated Supply Chain Officer to manage and optimize the end-to-end supply chain activities. This role involves overseeing inventory management, procurement, logistics, and supply chain planning while ensuring smooth coordination across departments. The Supply Chain Officer will lead a team of 5 persons, fostering collaboration and efficiency to meet the company’s operational goals. The ideal candidate has at least one year of relevant experience and demonstrates strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking to address supply chain challenges effectively. In this role, you will manage procurement and strategic sourcing activities, maintain and optimize material requirements planning, and configure ERP inventory parameters such as lead times, lot sizing, and safety stock. You will analyze supply chain data to enhance performance and implement route planning and optimization strategies to improve logistics operations. The position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work cross-functionally and support supply chain continuity at JR Industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement inventory management strategies to maintain optimal stock levels and reduce excess costs.
• Coordinate and execute supply chain planning and procurement processes, ensuring timely sourcing and delivery of materials.
• Lead and supervise a team of 5 personnel, promoting effective teamwork and continuous development.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
• Manage logistics and transportation operations, including route planning and optimization to reduce transit times and expenses.
• Maintain accurate Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing documentation for production planning.
• Configure and update ERP system parameters related to inventory, such as lead times, lot sizing, and safety stock levels.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline supply chain activities and support production schedules.
• Utilize Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools to forecast material demands and schedule procurement activities.
• Solve supply chain issues by applying critical thinking and problem-solving techniques.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements related to supply chain and logistics functions.
• Manage supplier relationships and negotiate terms to achieve cost-effective procurement solutions.
• Track and report key supply chain metrics to inform management decisions and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Support team members by promoting knowledge sharing, training, and performance feedback.
• Prioritize and manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and operational commitments.
