Khokar and Sons is seeking a professional Driver with a minimum of two years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise in defensive driving techniques to ensure safe and efficient transportation of passengers or goods. This role requires adherence to traffic laws and company policies while maintaining the vehicle in excellent operating condition throughout daily operations. Attention to detail, punctuality, and strong responsibility for safety are pivotal for success in this position. The Driver will be responsible for navigating routes effectively, anticipating potential hazards, and responding calmly to road conditions. While this position does not involve managing a team, collaboration with colleagues and clear communication with management are essential to maintain seamless transport services within the company. Responsibilities
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently following all traffic laws and regulations.
- Practice defensive driving techniques to minimize risks and ensure passenger and cargo safety.
- Plan and follow the most efficient and timely routes for transportation tasks.
- Conduct routine inspections of the vehicle to ensure mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in proper working order.
- Report any vehicle issues or accidents promptly to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the vehicle interior and exterior.
- Adhere to scheduled pickup and delivery times to meet company and customer expectations.
- Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities as required.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding route changes, delays, or other relevant incidents.
- Follow all company policies and procedures related to transportation and safety.
