Description
Kidan is seeking a proficient Cyber Security Engineer to join our specialized security team. This role involves leading the implementation and assessment of advanced security technologies such as Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), and various other protection mechanisms. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting penetration testing and vulnerability assessments to ensure the resilience of our systems. This position focuses on enhancing threat detection capabilities, guiding incident response efforts, and continuously monitoring our security posture to mitigate risks in cloud, network, endpoint, and identity environments. The Cyber Security Engineer will manage and mentor a dedicated team of 10 security professionals. The role requires developing and enforcing security policies, generating detailed technical reports, and drafting remediation strategies in alignment with industry standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and MITRE ATT&CK frameworks. Candidates must possess at least two years of hands-on experience operating various security technologies and demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. This role is critical to maintaining Kidan’s security infrastructure and supporting compliance activities across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate security solutions including SIEM, EDR/XDR, IDS/IPS, and related technologies to protect organizational assets.
- Lead penetration testing and vulnerability scanning activities to identify and remediate security threats.
- Monitor security alerts, perform incident response, and conduct in-depth investigations to mitigate security breaches.
- Conduct comprehensive security risk assessments and ensure compliance with relevant security frameworks and policies.
- Enhance and maintain cloud, network, endpoint, and identity security through continuous improvement strategies and technical safeguards.
- Develop and update security documentation such as policies, technical reports, and remediation plans.
- Manage, train, and motivate a team of 10 security engineers to achieve department goals and maintain high security standards.
- Collaborate with other departments to integrate security measures and promote security awareness within the organization.
- Stay abreast of emerging cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies to continually refine Kidan’s security posture.
- Support audit preparations and participate in compliance reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
