Sr Infrastructure Engineer (Microsoft 365 & Entra ID Expert)

Description

The Sr Infrastructure Engineer at Kidan is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting critical network and endpoint infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient IT operations. This role focuses heavily on Microsoft 365 services and Microsoft Entra ID, delivering advanced identity and access management solutions, including Conditional Access, multi-factor authentication, and hybrid identity models. The engineer applies expert knowledge in network architecture fundamentals such as routing, switching, firewall management, and VPN technologies, including SD-WAN configurations. This role demands strong technical acumen and leadership capabilities to provide technical guidance and mentorship for junior engineers while contributing to the development of infrastructure standards and best practices. The engineer supports and improves enterprise endpoint management, security, vulnerability management, and asset compliance. They operate without direct team management responsibilities but collaborate closely with various stakeholders to drive operational excellence, troubleshooting, and reporting across infrastructure systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise on and support network architecture fundamentals including routing, switching, firewalls, and overall network security frameworks.
• Design, implement, and maintain VPN technologies such as site-to-site and remote access solutions alongside SD-WAN deployments to enhance network connectivity and reliability.
• Lead the design and deployment of SASE-based solutions, including Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB), Secure Web Gateway (SWG), and Remote Browser Isolation (RBI).
• Implement and manage Unified Endpoint Management and Security (UEMS) solutions to enforce endpoint security policies and controls.
• Oversee enterprise endpoint management by applying best practices in vulnerability management, patch management, software deployment, browser security, application control, and BitLocker encryption.
• Manage endpoint asset lifecycle through comprehensive inventory management, accurate reporting, and ensuring compliance with organizational standards.
• Design and advise on operating system deployment strategies, utilizing both traditional imaging techniques and modern provisioning methods to optimize device setup.
• Provide expert design, implementation, and ongoing support for Microsoft 365 services and Microsoft Entra ID, focusing on identity and access management, Conditional Access policies, multi-factor authentication, and hybrid identity scenarios.
• Offer advanced operational support including troubleshooting complex infrastructure issues, generating detailed reports, and delivering technical guidance across IT teams.
• Mentor and support junior infrastructure engineers, sharing knowledge and promoting best practices to elevate team capabilities and effectiveness.
• Contribute to defining and improving infrastructure standards, policies, and procedures to align with industry trends and security requirements.
