The ideal candidate is responsible for picking orders accurately, packing products with care, and ensuring high product quality throughout the packing process. This role does not involve managing a team but requires a strong commitment to maintaining accuracy and efficiency to support timely shipments and customer satisfaction. Attention to detail and adherence to packing standards are vital for success in this position. The Order Packer at KIDCO handles the crucial steps of order fulfillment by verifying product quantities and condition before packing, optimizing cartonization and box sizes to reduce waste and shipping costs, and reconciling packing slips to ensure order accuracy. This role emphasizes product integrity and shipping accuracy, contributing directly to the company's reputation for reliable deliveries and customer service excellence.
Responsibilities
- Pick customer orders accurately based on specified packing lists.
- Inspect products for quality and damage before packing to maintain customer satisfaction.
- Pack products efficiently using proper cartonization and box-size optimization techniques to protect items and minimize shipping costs.
- Reconcile packing slips and order contents to ensure complete and accurate shipments.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the packing work area.
- Handle goods carefully to avoid damage during packing and shipping preparation.
- Report any product discrepancies or quality issues promptly to supervisors.
- Assist in inventory management by reporting stock shortages or anomalies.
- Follow safety guidelines and company packing procedures consistently.
- Collaborate with shipping and warehouse teams to coordinate order dispatch schedules.
