Lewani is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Textile Designer with 2 to 3 years of professional experience in textile design, fashion design, or a closely related field. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong portfolio that reflects expertise in women's apparel and textile designs. A deep understanding of prints, motifs, patterns, repeats, and colorways is essential for creating innovative and attractive textile products. Proficiency in relevant CAD and graphic design software is required to develop precise and high-quality design concepts. The Textile Designer will work closely with the product development and marketing teams to bring creative ideas to life. This role involves conceptualizing original textile prints and patterns, preparing detailed digital designs, and collaborating on design strategy aligned with Lewani's brand vision. While this position does not require team management, the candidate will be expected to contribute as an independent professional capable of delivering compelling designs within project timelines.
Responsibilities
- Develop original textile designs, prints, motifs, and patterns tailored to women's apparel and related products.
- Create detailed digital designs using CAD software and graphic design tools such as Adobe Photoshop and AutoCAD.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align textile designs with marketing goals and product development strategies.
- Prepare technical design specifications and colorways to ensure accuracy and consistency in production.
- Research and analyze current fashion trends, textile innovations, and competitor designs to inform creative direction.
- Maintain a thorough understanding of fabric types, textile production processes, and material properties relevant to design implementation.
- Manage multiple design projects efficiently, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Present design concepts and revisions clearly to stakeholders for feedback and approval.
- Continuously update skills and knowledge of industry software and best practices to enhance design capabilities.
