Description
The ideal candidate will have at least three years of experience in procurement and purchasing within an industrial context. The Purchaser/Outdoor Rider must combine purchasing expertise with excellent navigation skills to facilitate smooth communication and delivery logistics. Though this role does not involve management responsibilities, the individual will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure seamless supply chain operations. The candidate must be detail-oriented, proactive in identifying supplier opportunities, and capable of effectively negotiating terms to benefit the company. A strong understanding of motorcycle safety regulations and adherence to road safety protocols is critical.
Responsibilities
- Identify and source industrial items essential for the manufacturing process from reliable suppliers.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors to secure optimal procurement agreements.
- Maintain and update a comprehensive list of suppliers and product sources relevant to the company’s manufacturing needs.
- Plan and execute motorcycle routes efficiently to perform vendor visits, pickups, and deliveries.
- Ensure all motorcycle riding complies with road safety laws and internal safety standards.
- Monitor supplier performance and quality of procured items to maintain production standards.
- Coordinate with internal departments to forecast procurement needs based on production schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and manage procurement documentation accurately and timely.
- Assist in resolving purchase discrepancies, delayed deliveries, or supplier issues.
- Maintain records of purchases, pricing, deliveries, and other relevant data for audit and reporting purposes.
- Continuously improve sourcing strategies and route plans to enhance operational efficiency.
- Comply with company policies and legal requirements related to procurement and transportation.
