Matora Engineering Corporation is seeking a skilled Biomedical Service Engineer with a minimum of three years of experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of medical equipment, particularly X-Ray systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in diagnosing and repairing medical devices, ensuring their reliable operation in clinical environments. This role involves working closely with healthcare facilities to provide timely and effective service, playing a critical role in supporting patient care through equipment performance and safety. The successful applicant will lead a team of two technicians, promoting high-quality standards and continuous improvement in service delivery. The Biomedical Service Engineer manages installation, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks concerning advanced medical devices. This position requires meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle complex troubleshooting challenges to maximize equipment uptime. Strong communication is essential for coordinating with hospital staff and internal teams to address technical issues effectively. The role also demands keeping detailed service records and adhering to regulatory standards related to medical equipment service and safety.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair faults in medical devices, focusing on X-Ray equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance and calibration of biomedical equipment to prevent failures and extend device lifespan.
- Lead, supervise, and mentor a team of two technicians, organizing workloads and training to enhance technical competencies and service quality.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to understand equipment issues, provide technical support, and recommend solutions.
- Manage installation and commissioning of new medical devices ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service documentation, including fault reports, maintenance logs, and compliance records.
- Implement quality control processes and safety checks consistent with corporate and regulatory guidelines.
- Stay updated on technological advancements and best practices in biomedical engineering to improve troubleshooting and service methodologies.
- Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers for spare parts procurement and technical support when necessary.
- Train users and hospital staff on the proper operation and routine care of biomedical equipment.
