Description
The Branch Manager at MCB is responsible for overseeing branch operations to ensure the achievement of business targets and delivering exceptional customer service. This role requires leading a team of five staff members, managing retail banking functions, and maintaining high operational standards in compliance with banking regulations. The manager drives sales plans, monitors credit evaluations, enforces internal controls, and ensures customer satisfaction through effective complaint resolution and process improvements. The position demands expertise in retail banking, operations, and team leadership, alongside strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. This position requires at least five years of relevant experience and a graduate or master’s degree from a recognized institute. The Branch Manager fosters team development by training and motivating front-end staff to achieve sales maximization. They are responsible for maintaining audit compliance, managing conflict effectively, and identifying new business opportunities for branch profitability. Proficiency in MS Office and analytical tools supports the ability to generate insightful reports and strategic decisions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales plans to enhance and strengthen existing customer relationships while identifying consistent opportunities for business growth across deposit mobilization, asset products, and trade-related services.
- Regularly review operational activities based on audit reports to enforce strict internal controls in line with bank and regulatory guidelines including Know Your Customer (KYC), Anti-Money Laundering (AML), and Business Continuity Plans.
- Evaluate, recommend, and supervise credit proposals related to asset portfolios to ensure sound lending practices that align with branch profitability and risk management goals.
- Ensure adherence to the Service Management Program by addressing and resolving customer complaints timely, while continuously reviewing and improving processes, practices, and resource allocation to maintain superior service standards.
- Lead, train, and motivate front-end staff, enhancing their technical skills and core competencies to effectively meet the branch’s sales targets and overall business objectives.
- Maintain branch audit ratings by managing smooth branch operations and compliance with all applicable banking regulations and internal policies.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the branch’s customer base and increase profitability.
- Monitor and analyze branch performance using MS Office and other analytical tools to support strategic decision-making and reporting.
- Manage conflict and problem-solving within the team and customer interactions to promote a positive work environment and customer experience.
- Execute any additional assignments as directed by upper management to support branch and organizational goals.
