Description
At MHS Test, the Software Quality Assurance professional plays a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products. This role involves designing and executing both manual and automated test cases to identify defects and verify that software applications meet specified requirements. The ideal candidate has at least five years of experience in quality assurance and works collaboratively with development teams to enhance product quality through rigorous testing practices. The responsibilities include maintaining test documentation, reporting bugs clearly, and verifying fixes to ensure a seamless user experience. Although this position does not involve managing a team, the individual is expected to work independently and efficiently, applying both test automation and manual testing skills to cover all aspects of software quality assurance.
Responsibilities
- Develop, prepare, and execute detailed manual and automated test cases to validate software functionality.
- Design and maintain comprehensive test documentation including test plans, test cases, and defect reports.
- Perform thorough regression testing to ensure previously fixed issues do not reoccur.
- Identify, document, and track software defects using established defect management tools.
- Work closely with software developers and product managers to clarify requirements and improve test coverage.
- Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback for continuous product improvement.
- Participate in review meetings and contribute to discussions on testing strategies and quality standards.
- Contribute to improving testing processes and methodologies to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Ensure the software delivers a high-quality user experience by rigorously validating features against requirements.
- Stay updated on the latest testing tools and technologies and recommend their adoption where appropriate.
