Midjac seeks an experienced Cook to join its culinary team. The ideal candidate is well versed in diverse cooking duties, with a pleasant personality and a strong commitment to hygiene in the kitchen environment. This role requires proficiency in preparing local, Chinese, and English dishes, consistently delivering high-quality food that meets the company's standards. With at least five years of experience, preferably within high-level culinary establishments or 4 to 5-star hotels, the Cook will bring expertise and creativity to the kitchen. The Cook will manage a team of four individuals, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and effective collaboration. This position demands excellent organizational skills and the ability to work efficiently under pressure to meet service timelines. The role involves overseeing food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and adhering to food safety regulations, thereby contributing significantly to the overall dining experience at Midjac.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a wide variety of local, Chinese, and English dishes to high standards.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently while following established procedures.
• Manage and lead a kitchen team of four staff members, coordinating assignments and workflows.
• Maintain strict hygiene and cleanliness standards in the kitchen to comply with health and safety regulations.
• Organize kitchen operations to ensure timely preparation and delivery of food orders.
• Monitor food quality and presentation, making adjustments to recipes and techniques as necessary.
• Stock and manage kitchen inventory, ensuring ingredients are fresh and available for use.
• Collaborate with kitchen staff to develop new menus and improve existing recipes.
• Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to improve their cooking skills and knowledge.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies at all times.
