MICROSTATION DRAFTSMAN FOR SAUDI ELECTRICITY COMPANY PROJECTS [SEC]

Description

Midwest General Contracting is seeking an experienced MicroStation Draftsman to join our engineering team dedicated to Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) and Underground Cable (UGC) projects for the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC). The ideal candidate must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience and demonstrate strong proficiency in MicroStation software. This role involves preparing, revising, and ensuring compliance of electrical engineering drawings strictly according to project specifications and SEC drawing standards. The candidate will collaborate effectively with engineering teams to ensure that all design graphics meet quality and technical requirements for energy infrastructure projects. This position does not involve managing a team but requires excellent communication and coordination skills to work closely with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders. The draftsman must be attentive to detail, organized, and capable of interpreting complex electrical layouts in both 2D and 3D formats. The role will be based in Pakistan and is a full-time position focusing on contributing technical drafting expertise that supports the successful delivery of electric power transmission and distribution projects.

Responsibilities

• Create and revise detailed electrical engineering drawings using MicroStation CAD software adhering to company and Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) standards.
• Develop accurate 2D and 3D drafts of Overhead Transmission Line (OHTL) and Underground Cable (UGC) project components based on engineering designs and specifications.
• Ensure all drawings comply with SEC drawing standards and applicable industry practices to maintain consistency and quality across projects.
• Coordinate with project engineers and technical teams to clarify design specifications and incorporate revisions promptly.
• Manage drawing document control, maintain version histories, and organize electronic files to support project documentation.
• Conduct regular reviews and quality checks on all drafts to identify and correct any discrepancies or errors.
• Assist in preparing technical presentations and reports by providing visual drafting support.
• Stay updated with advancements in MicroStation software versions, tools, and best practices to enhance drafting efficiency.
• Support project teams during site visits by providing accurate drawings and interpretations necessary for construction and maintenance activities.
• Maintain effective communication with project management and stakeholders to ensure alignment with project schedules and deliverables.
