Sublimation Designer

Description

As a Sublimation Designer at Mini Kidi Clothing, you will play a crucial role in creating vibrant and appealing graphics tailored for boys’ and girls’ garments within seasonal collections. Your creative expertise will cover developing original characters, typography, patterns, and the strategic placement of designs on sleeves and pockets to align with current fashion trends. Attention to detail and adherence to copyright standards are essential as you transform inspiration and trend references into print-ready artwork that upholds the brand’s high quality standards. You will also handle the technical aspects of design preparation by ensuring files are production-ready with precise sizing, high resolution, proper bleed, mirrored outputs, accurate color profiles, and clean layer organization. Collaboration with the production team is key as you troubleshoot and resolve printing challenges such as color shifts, ghosting, and banding. This role requires maintaining an organized design library, adapting designs across various sizes and garment types, and providing compelling mockups and creative materials for marketing purposes. Candidates with at least two years of relevant experience and skills in sublimation printing and garment design will thrive in this position, even though team management is not part of the responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Design new graphics for boys’ and girls’ garments including characters, typography, patterns, and sleeve and pocket placements across seasonal collections.
• Generate original, trend-inspired, print-ready artwork using only authorized designs to ensure legal compliance.
• Prepare production files with accurate sizing for garments and age groups, maintaining 300 DPI resolution, bleed areas, mirrored outputs, correct color profiles, and clean layered files.
• Adapt designs across different garment sizes ranging from 3-4 years to 13-14 years and various garment types to maintain consistency and quality.
• Match on-screen colors with printed outputs by conducting test prints and adjusting ICC color profiles for optimal color accuracy.
• Create high-quality digital garment mockups and flat images for online store displays, as well as simple advertisements and social media creatives as required.
• Maintain an organized and systematically named design library with consistent SKU or design codes for streamlined retrieval and management.
• Collaborate with the production team to identify and resolve printing issues such as ghosting, banding, and color shifts to ensure the final product meets quality standards.
