Description
Mirari Furnitures is seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Wood Router Operator to join their manufacturing facility near Burhan Interchange on the M-1 Motorway. The ideal candidate efficiently operates CNC wood routers for producing furniture components, decorative carving, profiling, engraving, and cutting tasks. This role requires solid knowledge and hands-on experience with ArtCAM and related CAD/CAM software to prepare and modify designs, develop machining toolpaths, and generate files compatible with CNC machines. The operator must be able to interpret technical drawings and design specifications precisely to produce high-quality outputs. The CNC Wood Router Operator collaborates closely with design and carpentry teams to meet production deadlines and quality standards. This full-time position requires at least three years of relevant experience, preferably in furniture manufacturing or woodworking industries. The role demands a focused individual who pays attention to detail and works reliably and independently while adhering to strict machine safety procedures. The candidate is expected to maintain accurate job records, perform routine machine maintenance, and ensure minimal material wastage and errors during machining operations.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC wood routers to manufacture furniture parts, including carving, profiling, engraving, and cutting operations.
- Utilize ArtCAM and related CAD/CAM software to prepare, modify, and optimize design files, creating effective toolpaths for machining.
- Accurately interpret drawings, dimensions, and design instructions to produce components that meet specifications.
- Choose appropriate router bits, cutting speeds, feed rates, and depths based on material type and machining requirements.
- Secure workpieces firmly on the machine, calibrate machine zero points, and conduct trial runs to validate setups before production.
- Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and overall craftsmanship meet quality standards.
- Minimize material waste, reduce machining errors, and avoid unnecessary rework by careful setup and operation.
- Perform routine cleaning, lubrication, and basic troubleshooting of CNC machines; promptly report any malfunctions or technical issues.
- Collaborate with design and production teams to align machining activities with project timelines and requirements.
- Maintain adherence to machine safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
- Keep detailed and accurate job records, documenting machine settings, material usage, and production outputs.
- Stay updated with technological advancements in CNC routing and CAD/CAM software to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Apply knowledge of machining various wood materials such as solid wood, MDF, and plywood for optimal results.
- Demonstrate reliability, precision, and independence in executing assigned tasks with strong attention to detail.
