Mirari Furniture (Pvt.) Limited, a leading furniture manufacturing company located in Islamabad with its production facility near Burhan Interchange on the M-1 Motorway, is seeking a capable and responsible Semi-Senior Accountant to join and strengthen its Accounts & Finance team. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in accounting who possess 4 to 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the manufacturing or commercial sectors. The Semi-Senior Accountant will be responsible for managing various accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting compliance with taxation and regulatory requirements in Pakistan. The position demands a high level of integrity, responsibility, and confidentiality, as well as the ability to work independently and meet strict reporting deadlines. Candidates with qualifications such as CA (qualified or part-qualified), ACCA, or degrees like BS Accounting & Finance, M.Com, B.Com, or BBA Finance combined with strong relevant experience will be preferred. The candidate will handle general accounting, bookkeeping, reconciliation tasks, payroll, taxation, and coordination with auditors and banks, ensuring data is accurately entered into the company’s ERP system.
Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting duties including bookkeeping and ledger maintenance to ensure that financial records are accurate and up to date.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify financial information and resolve discrepancies timely.
- Carry out supplier and customer reconciliations to maintain accurate accounts payable and accounts receivable records.
- Manage timely and precise preparation and verification of vouchers, invoices, and related supporting documents.
- Assist in the preparation of monthly accounts, management reports, and financial statements supporting decision-making processes with accurate financial data.
- Support inventory, production, and cost accounting activities to contribute to thorough financial analysis and control strategies.
- Handle payroll accounting and employee-related financial processes ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Assist in managing sales tax, income tax, and statutory compliance activities, in coordination with internal teams and external auditors.
- Collaborate with auditors, banks, and different internal departments ensuring smooth financial operations and audits.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and timely entry of financial transactions in the company’s ERP and accounting systems.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory compliance requirements and taxation laws applicable within Pakistan.
- Analyze financial data and documentation thoroughly to support the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting.
- Work independently while upholding high standards of accuracy and confidentiality in handling sensitive financial information.
- Continuously update knowledge of accounting principles, taxation laws, and regulatory changes relevant to the manufacturing and commercial sectors.
- Meet strict deadlines related to financial reporting and statutory submissions without compromising the quality of work.
